I teach this Reiki Level 1 course as a standalone course or as the first step on the journey of students who wish to progress through to Master Teacher level.
Western Reiki is a simple but powerful energy healing modality. Japanese practitioners believe that they are able to channel universal life force energy (Qi) to unblock chakras and allow the body to self heal in mind, body and spirit. Western medicine views it as more of a complementary practice to be used alongside conventional medicine, but they still recognise its benefits in lowering stress and anxiety, reducing blood pressure, improving mood and sense of wellbeing and helping promote good quality sleep. This Reiki Level 1 Course will allow you to use Reiki on yourself, family, friends, pets or even plants. It will help you to live your life in a more balanced and harmonious way.
The Reiki Level 1 course, alongside my other Reiki courses, is based on the western style teachings of Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki. These teachings were passed down from Dr Hayashi (a student of Mikao Usui’s ) to Mrs Takata. Mrs Takata adapted the teachings to better suit Western students.
The Reiki Level 1 Course is also known as First Degree
This is a one day course and is often just the starting point of peoples Reiki journey. The majority of the day is focused on the practical aspect of working with Reiki and learning how to use it as an external practice for healing yourself and others . You will receive and give Reiki treatments, along with many other hands on exercises. It will teach you simple hand positions that you can use for balancing, healing and harmonising the mind, body and spirit. You will learn about Reiki as an energy, and gain confidence in using Reiki. The course can help with spiritual awareness and personal growth. It will help you to reconnect with the unlimited source of Reiki and teach you about the Western energy system of chakras and the human energy field.

I will supply a fully comprehensive manual to help you remember everything that was taught on the day plus extra information. As your Reiki teacher I will be available for support and guidance throughout your Reiki Level 1 course and coursework and for any future levels you wish to progress to, however far you choose to take it.
